What we’re about
Greetings Nature Enthusiast
If you like exploring interesting places with wonderful stories of past settlements, strolling leisurely through beautiful native bush with great views, you are in luck.
Adventure is at your back door..
Auckland Walky Talky Nature Adventure Hikes with Stephen encourages the people of Aotearoa, and the Land of the Long White Cloud, to get out there , leave the carpark behind and walk into Nature Walking Enthusiast territory in Auckland and Beyond..with other like minded members who enjoy slowing down and looking around..
LEARNING SOMETHING..about identifying native trees and plants and birds etc we see along the tracks.
The health benefits of Walking are commonly known these days, however most people just rush to the destination and get busy with other things on their weekends to do list.
Auckland Walky Talky Adventures Hikes with Stephen give you permission to enjoy Slow Lane Walking and Hiking, stop and take pictures, and observe nature as its happening in the moment.
Walking Mindfully, the Body and Mind connection begins to feel natural, welcoming and safe to linger longer..Our spiritual life improves and we become grateful and grounded, embracing the route we're discovering together..nourishing all the senses and everything that we see, hear, feel and smell, or even taste sometimes, draws us deeper at a soul level ..we walk mindfully, finding peace and serenity in this busy world..and get you mentally prepared for your day's activities and when you return to the Carpark, you'll take away from this nature themed mindfully nature walk..having a positive effect on how you feel and function.
If you're unfamiliar with my quirky extroverted personality, I have been bringing people together for outdoor activities, mainly hiking and camping, urban walking , caving and many other things, getting people off the concrete and couch..
since I started Feet First Hiking Meet Up Group Auckland, in 2010, leading and organizing over 700 Events..
I have triumphed over many things emotionally and physically, and at least a dozen times, fallen down, by my personal challenges, and endured gout throughout covid..and a fair amount of procrastinating..I'm learning more about...that is a silent saboteur that prevents us from functioning at our best.
Now after 5 months off from any leadership responsibilities....taking small steps to focus on one task at a time to get glimpses of returning to some form of joy again in my 60 plus years...and taking stock of what is possible for a better health outcome..And wearing my heart on my sleeve...Life is a daring adventure, best shared wirh friends, in the great outdoors.
Let's Just Do It ...Together Everyone.
