What we’re about
-We are a fun-loving group. We are mainly beginner to intermediate level players. We don’t always keep track of score. Our priorities are having fun and getting exercise so if you are a competitive/advanced/ aggressive player, this group is not for you and you may be asked to leave.
-In warmer months, we play Thursdays at 5:15 pm. In the winter, with nicer weather be on the look out for scattered Saturday or Sunday soccer games with a start time generally at 10 am.
-You must be vaccinated and ideally boosted to play.
-Please bring both a white and dark shirt.
-As long as we have six people, we play. We may cancel a few hours before a game if there is inclement weather, but if you like to play in the rain bring a towel and I'll bring the hot tea!
-Please RSVP as soon as you know you are coming but make sure to change your RSVP asap if there is something unexpected that comes up and you cannot attend. As things pick up games start to fill and we cap at 14.
-There is free parking all along both sides of Albemarle Road.
-There are many fields along Albemarle Road and we move around a bit so check the app to see where we will be playing for any given day.
-We have named the members of this group "Wichos" (pronounced which-oh) after a funny mistaken name after the group was first created. Ever since we've used to it refer to our friendly group of soccer players.
