Paddle On Lake Washington In Renton - All Levels Welcome!

Come dragon boat with us for two hours on Lake Washington. We welcome all levels of experience. We will start off on land showing you the basic paddling techniques, review safety protocols, then spend a hour on the water learning to paddle a dragon boat. Refreshments will be provided after the session.

Restrooms are available on site.
Latecomers may not be allowed on the boat if they missed the land training and safety briefing - both are important for everyone to have the best experience on the water.

8:30 Guests arrive; confirm waivers, hand out paddles, land training, safety briefing
9:00 Head to the dock, load the boats
9:10 Learn to paddle !
10:20 Return to dock and unload
10:30 Refreshments

Directions:
We meet at Renton Rowing Center

• Use Cedar River Trail Park as your GPS destination.
• Make sure it directs you to N 6th St (not N 8th St - that will take you into Boeing parking lots). Ignore the notice that says the park closes at sunset - over the last few years that has not happened.
• You'll go down the roadway in the park that is between the Cedar River (which you won't be able to see), and Boeing. Go right to the end where the road essentially does a u-turn. Many of us park just after the u-turn on the river side. Join us by the picnic table at the u-turn. If you see people wearing neon yellow hats, PFDs or carrying paddles, that will be us!
