6-8 Mile Hike on Glacier Ridge/North Country Trail at Morain State Park
Details
Moraine State Park - Glacier Ridge/North Country Trail from the 528 bridge trail head. Experience a little more challenging hike of about 6 or 8 miles and 1450 ft of ascents. This is a 6 mile out and back trek to the cabins, with an additional 2-mile loop at the end. The largest climb at end of hike can be bypassed by those who choose to skip the loop and end after 6 miles. Mostly dirt trails through older growth forest with occasional rocks/roots and some gullies to cross. This is a wonderful section of NCT to experience.
Meet at trail head N on 528 off 422 to boat ramp on right side immediately after crossing the long bridge over Lake Arthur.
Rated: Moderate/Strenuous
