Bridge Replacement In Darlington

Join us on Monday, March 9th in Darlington, PA as we replace the bridge on the River Walk. Meet at the trailhead parking area across the creek from the trailhead - 3479 Darlington Rd. - at 9:00 AM and we'll carry in the two bridge beams from there. The decking and other material is already on site.
There is some brush that will need to be cleared in addition to the bridge build, and we'll have to adjust the paint blazing just a little bit to reflect the new bridge approaches.
Never built a bridge before? No problem. This one is pretty simple - just big enough to keep hikers' feet dry during wet, swampy times along this section, and wide enough to run the DR mower over for trail maintenance. We provide OTJT so come on out and enjoy the morning with us.
