First Bridge Build On The Elkton Route

The Wampum Chapter will be building the first bridge on the two mile section of new North Country Trail on Thursday, May 28th. Meet at the Elkton Community Park that morning at 9:00 AM and we'll get organized and head out to the first stream crossing/bridge site to start work.

Not necessary but if you have a cordless drill/driver bring it along that morning. All other tools required will be provided. Dress for the weather and definitely bring drinking water. A snack or lunch is recommended as the lunch whistle usually blows around noon.

No experience necessary as OTJT will be provided. Plenty of different tasks involved in putting one of these structures in so there is a job for everyone who wants to be involved.

The end time of 3 PM is an estimate so come when you can and leave when you want or need to.
