Sunday 3rd March 2024 10am. Ilfracombe 'Four Peaks' Walk

A rollercoaster walk along the coastline and countryside surrounding Ilfracombe climbing 4 hills; Torrs Park, Cairn Top, Hillsborough and Capstone Hill enjoying beautiful high-level views. Starting at Ilfracombe and following the coast path to climb Torrs Park and then taking footpaths and bridleways to the Traka Trail. From the Tarka Trail taking footpaths through Cairn Woodland to climb to the viewpoint, then descending to reach the road. Then following roads through the town to Chambercombe, next taking footpaths to climb Hillsborough Hill before looping back and descending back to Ilfracombe on the coast path. Lastly climbing Capstone Hill before returning to Ilfracombe Landmark Theatre. This walk will include a weather permitting stop for lunch please bring snacks and drinks.

Terrain: Public footpaths, coast path, woodland trails, and roads. Wet and muddy patches in damp weather. Many stretches of steep ascent/ descent. Paths uneven and rocky in places.
Toilets: Wilder Road (10 minutes walk from car park).
Parking: Jubilee Gardens Car Park EX34 8JA £2.50 all day (winter season rates). Alternative car parks/ on street car parking available in Ilfracombe please check individual sites for restrictions and charges.
