Wednesday 10th September 6.30pm. Instow Old Town & Beach Sunset Walk

A varied walk for the season finale of the summer evening season around the coast and countryside surrounding Instow incorporating the Tarka Trail, old town area and beach, enjoying beautiful views of the Taw / Torridge Estuary and Appledore, returning as the sunsets. Starting at Instow heading along the Tarka Trail and then taking footpaths to reach West Yelland Farm. Then following a countryside lane to reach Instow old town and then ascending to reach Worlington Cross, returning to Instow along footpaths to reach the beach, walking back to the car park as the sun sets.

Meet at the Instow Sandhills Car Park at 6.30pm.

Terrain: Countryside lanes, footpaths and Tarka Trail. Some muddy patches in wet weather. Some stretches of ascent/ descent. Walking on beach/ soft sand can be more strenuous.
Toilets: Next to Marine Parade car park & entrance to Sandhills car park Instow.
Parking: Various Instow car parking (please check individual sites for restrictions and charges).

Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring snacks/ drinks.
