Dunster Bats Castle - Circular Walk
5 miles - Easy / Moderate
Leaving Dunster we hike through the Deer Park then on to Bats Castle, the remains of an Iron Age Hill Fort with wonderful views of the castle and out to sea. We then descend via lovely woodland paths back to the village where we can see some of Dunsters historic landmarks before enjoying an evening drink at the Lygon Arms.

Meet at Dunster Castle National Trust Car Park TA246NY at 6.30pm
Start/ Finish: Dunster National Trust Car Park
Plenty of parking spaces at £6.50, free for National Trust Members
Distance: 5 miles
Route type: Circular
Grade: Easy / Moderate
Terrain: Some sections can be uneven underfoot and muddy in wet weather. One moderate ascent/ descent. Open moor, woodland, and parkland.
Toilets: Dunster Village.
Refreshments - Lots of options in Dunster
Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring a drinks and food /snacks or card/ money for refreshments.
