Dulverton ~ Tarr Steps - Exmoor Pony Centre - Circular Walk
12 miles - Moderate terrain/ challenging due to distance
Leaving Dulverton, we hike to Tarr Steps on an undulating path alongside the River Barle, it’s a beautiful route though woodland. At the midway point we cross the river via Tarr Steps. We can have our picnic lunch here and use the facilities at the Tarr Farm Inn. The walk back is across open moorland to The Exmoor Pony Centre where we can meet the ponies and see the work the centres does. We then have a couple of miles along a quiet road and finally a riverside mile back to Dulverton, returning between 4.30 - 5pm.
The Exmoor Pony Centre would appreciate a small voluntary donation
This walk will be led by Wander Women group member Karen Wilson – thank you Karen!
