Torrington Tarka Trail – Rolle Canal - Taddiport Walk

Saturday 28th June 2025 10am. Torrington Tarka Trail – Rolle Canal - Taddiport walk.

A gentle walk along the Tarka Trail and countryside surrounding Torrington. Starting at the Puffing Billy and following the Tarka Trail towards Bideford, then taking Rolle Canal footpath through woodland to cross a field and re-join the Tarka Trail. Then following a footpath to reach the village of Taddiport, before returning to the Puffing Billy along a riverside path. Option to stay for coffee/ drinks at the end of the walk at the Puffing Billy.

Meet at Puffing Billy Car Park at 10am.

Terrain: Tarmac roads, footpaths and Tarka Trail. Mostly flat with some small inclines. Can be wet and muddy patches in places. Small stretch walking through grassland/ field.
Toilets: None (nearest toilets located at Torrington Commons Car Park 5 minutes drive from Puffing Billy)
Parking: Puffing Billy Car Park (free) please do not park in the cycle hire car park.

Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring a packed lunch/ snacks/ drinks.
