Merton - Huish Walk

Saturday 2nd August 10am. Merton – Huish Walk

A pretty village walk through the countryside surrounding the village of Merton and hamlet of Huish. Starting in Merton and ascending a footpath above the village then descending to take footpaths to Huish passing through Heanton Satchville park; an extensive area of parkland dotted with ancient trees. Then returning to Merton along the same footpaths. Option to stay for coffee/ drinks at the Malt Scoop Inn at the end of the walk.

Meet at Merton Clinton Hall Car Park at 10am.

Distance: 4 miles (6.5 km)
Route type: Circular around village. Out and back Merton to Huish.
Grade: Moderate
Terrain: Public footpaths, bridleways and countryside roads. Footpaths be wet and muddy in damp weather. Some sections of ascent/ descent. Long grass in places.

Parking: Merton Clinton Hall Car Park EX35 6NU. Free.
