Woolacombe Roller Coaster Walk

A hilly walk along the coast and through countryside surrounding Woolacombe enjoying beautiful views of the beach and north Devon coast. Starting at Woolacombe and climbing to Twitchen before descending and then climbing Challacombe Hill. Then descending before taking footpaths to climb Potters Hill and cross Woolacombe Down. Returning to the village along the beach.

Meet at the Woolacombe Marine Drive National Trust Car Park at 10am.

Terrain: Public footpaths, beach and countryside roads. A few wet and muddy patches in damp weather. Some steep ascent/ descent. Sandy footpaths/ beach/ soft sand can be strenuous to walk along.
Toilets: Next to Esplanade Car Park
Parking: The roadside bays on the Woolacombe Esplanade are free in winter. Marine Drive National Trust car park free to members, fee payable to non members.

Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring snacks/drinks.
