Ilfracombe Torrs – Higher Slade Evening Walk celebrating Ilfracombe Coast Week

This walk is held as part of Ilfracombe's Coast Week which runs from 30th May - 7th June to celebrate the town's harbour and beautiful coastline, by kind invitation of Ilfracombe and District Business and Tourism Association.

An evening walk along the coastline and countryside surrounding Ilfracombe enjoying beautiful high-level views of the town and the north Devon coast. Starting at Ilfracombe and following the coast path to climb Ilfracombe Torrs and then taking footpaths and bridleways to Higher Slade. Returning to Ilfracombe through Torrs Park.

Meet at Ilfracombe Landmark Theatre at 6.30pm.

Terrain: Public footpaths, coast path, and roads. Wet and muddy patches in damp weather. Several stretches of ascent/ descent. Paths uneven and rocky in places. Livestock in fields.
Toilets: Wilder Road (10 minutes walk from car park).
Parking: Jubilee Gardens Car Park EX34 8JA free after 6pm. Alternative car parks/ on street car parking available in Ilfracombe please check individual sites for restrictions and charges.

Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring snacks/drinks.
