Instow - Huish – Westleigh

A beautiful walk through the countryside surrounding the villages of Instow and Westleigh enjoying beautiful high level views of the rover estuary, Appledore and north Devon coast. Starting at Instow and taking lanes and bridleways to reach Middle and then Lower Huish. Then taking footpaths across fields to reach Treyhill before following countryside lanes to Westleigh, returning to Instow on the Tarka Trail.
Meet at Instow Signal Box at 6.30pm.

Grade: Moderate.
Terrain: Public footpaths, bridleways, Tarka Trail and tarmac road. Footpaths and bridleways can be muddy in wet weather. Some ascent/ descent. Several stiles. Livestock in fields.
Toilets: Marine Parade car park and entrance to Sandhills car park.
Parking: Various car parks and on road parking available in Instow please check for site restrictions/ payment and allow enough time to walk from where you park to the meet point.
Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring snacks/ drinks.
