A summer evening walk through the countryside and woodland surrounding the village of High Bickington enjoying beautiful views of the river Taw valley, and to Exmoor and Codden Hill on a clear day. Starting at High Bickington and taking footpaths through Quarry Wood to Ridgeway Green, then following roads to Laxford Bridge and Seckington. Then taking countryside roads to loop back to the village, before taking footpaths to Taylors Lane following this to Witherhill before returning to the car park along countryside lanes.
Meet at High Bickington Community Centre car park at 6.30pm.

Distance: 5 miles/ 8.1km.
Route type: Figure of eight.
Grade: Moderate
Terrain: Public footpaths, tarmac roads and woodland trails. Footpaths can be muddy in places. Stretches of ascent/ descent.

Parking: High Bickington Community Centre car park suggested donation £2 per car – by kind permission of the Community Centre trustees, limited spaces please car share where possible.
Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring snacks/drinks.
