Songs We Grew Up With: A Beginner Guitar Meetup

If you've always meant to come back to music — or finally pick it up for the first time — this is your door.

This is a daytime, beginner-friendly guitar meetup for adults who want a relaxed, encouraging place to learn. Most folks here are picking up a guitar for the first time, or coming back to one they haven't touched in decades. You can show up with zero experience.

We work on basic chords, simple strumming, and real songs you'll actually recognize — The Beatles, Cat Stevens, the Cranberries, The Eagles, Ben E. King. Songs you grew up with. Each month we pick one and learn it together.

I lead the class myself. The goal isn't perfection. It's progress, confidence, and remembering that you're allowed to learn something new at any age.

Bring an acoustic guitar, or an electric with a small amp. Don't have one yet? Message me before you come and I'll point you toward something cheap and good. We always end with a casual group play-through so everyone gets to join in, no matter where they're at. Each session builds gently on the last, but you can drop in anytime.

📍 Location
We meet upstairs at Terra Diamond, a local warehouse space at 1910 Fremont Dr, Salt Lake City. There's easy parking right out front.

Come in through the front door, head up the staircase on your left, and we're in the second room on your right at the top of the stairs. Big window — you'll spot us.
