Try Playing in a Rock Band

Ever wanted to play in a band, but felt like you weren’t ready yet?
This is a beginner-friendly first step.

This is a low-pressure music meetup for adults who want to try playing with other people in a relaxed, supportive environment. No auditions. No pressure. No need to already be “good enough.”

Each month we learn and play one simple song together as a group. I help assign beginner-friendly parts based on comfort level and instrument, then guide the whole process step by step.

Possible roles include:

• rhythm guitar
• bass
• vocals
• percussion
• keys
• any other instrument you choose to bring

This is a great fit for adults who want a supportive first experience making music with other people, whether you’re brand new, rusty, or just curious what the band experience feels like.
Bring:

This event is especially great for people who've always dreamed of what it would be like to join a band but need a lower-pressure on-ramp first. In the Wandering Bards world, this is where a lot of people get their first taste of what playing together can actually feel like. It also pairs well with my Beginner Guitar & Bass Lessons, as we will be learning the same song in those classes. But you can absolutely attend any one of the classes on their own.

Finding Wandering Bards
Quick heads-up about my studio because this has confused a few people:

Most of my events are currently held inside Terra Diamond, a working warehouse/business owned by a friend of mine. Wandering Bards has a studio space upstairs inside the building. Your Maps app may take you to the back of Terra Diamond, where you’ll see a very large “Terra Diamond” sign. That’s actually the warehouse loading area, not the entrance.

Drive around to the other side of the building. You’ll find a parking lot and the front entrance marked by a much smaller “Terra Diamond” sign.

And yes, from the outside it has a little “Am I definitely in the right place?” energy.

Come through the front door, head up the staircase on the left, and we’ll be in the second room on your right. There’s a big window, so you should spot us pretty easily.
