FREE / Afterwork Speedy Hike from Sognsvann to Vettakollen

Details

Back to school / work and keen on stretching those legs after a long day?

Join us for a short and speedy walk / hike on Tuesday 22nd August when we meet at Sognsvann T-bane station and make our way up Vettakollen. This is a free weekday hike where you can meet others and make new friends whilst getting a little "workout" in after work. We will be walking up to Vettakollen viewing point which has about 140 meters ascent. This is a relatively easy walk with good paths, and the distance is only 6k so beginners are welcome as long as you are able to keep a slightly speedy pace.

  • Start point: Sognsvann T-bane station for the 17.54 arrival

  • End point: Vettakollen T-bane station (alternatively walking back to Sognsvann T-Bane for those who arrive by car)

  • Total walking distance: 6 kilometer

  • Ascent: 230 meters in total

  • Difficulty level: Beginner / intermediate

  • What to bring: Water & snack, something to sit on, a small rucksack.

We will sit down at the top of Vettakollen to take in the views and enjoy a little break, before making our way back down to Vettakollen T-bane station. If you are driving and parking at Sognsvann you might want to go back there, but this will make the hike longer than 6km.

Cost: FREE

You can plan your journey using Ruter Travel Planner or send me a message if you need any further help.

Please make sure to arrive on time as the group unfortunately cannot wait for anyone who is late.

Wanderlust Walks is a supportive and diverse community of both international members as well as locals, where everyone is welcome to join our hikes as long as it suits your physical abilities. Well-being and social togetherness is at the forefront of what we do, and we will always make time for conversations, photography and to observe nature and wildlife, and to keep a pace which allows for everyone to walk together.

We are mainly speaking English, but I gladly speak Norwegian with those who prefer to do so.

Hope to see you for a lovely wanderlust walk!
