Journey back into time with our Heritage Trip to the UNESCO World Heritage sites at Hampi- Badami- Aihole- Pattadakal. Re-live the golden era of India.

Hampi, the historic capital of the Vijayanagar empire in the 14th century, is home to around 500 marvelous historic monuments. Imperial palaces, temples and forts can be seen standing in pride holding tales of the past in every brick. The city was established by Harihara and Ukka in the year 1336 AD and is a UNESCO world heritage site now.

Badami, once the capital to the Chalukya Dynasty is renowned for its sandstone cave temples.

Aihole was the 1st capital of the Chalukyas. Place of historical significance & cradle of Hindu rock architecture.

Pattadakal is a UNESCO World Heritage site & has some amazing temples in a large compound.

Bijapur (renamed Vijapura in 2014) tells a glorious tale dating back some 600 years. Blessed with a heap of mosques, mausoleums, palaces and fortifications, it was the capital of the Adil Shahi kings from 1489 to 1686,

TENTATIVE ITINERARY
22 Oct 15: Departure from Bangalore by bus (9.30PM) to Hospete

23 Oct 15: Arrive Hospete, Check in Hotel. After breakfast local sightseeing at Hampi. Night stay at Hampi.

Destinations Covered during Hampi Sightseeing: (Underground Shiva Temple,Hazara Ram Temple, Malyavanta Raghunathaswamu Temple, Shashivekalu Ganesh, Lakshmi Narasimha, Virupaksha Temple, Hampi bazar, Vijaya Vittal Temple, Queens Bath, Lotus Mahal, Royal Enclosure, Elephant Taxi stand, 100 pillars in Kings Audience Hall)

24 Oct 15: After Breakfast leave for Badami. Sightseeing at Badami- Aihole- Pattadakal. Night stay at Badami.
Destinations Covered: Badami- Rock Cut Caves, Bhootnath Temple, Fort & Museum, Group of structures & temples at Aihole & Pattadakal)

25Oct15: After breakfast, leave for Bijapur. Local sightseeing at Bijapur. Return to Bangalore by bus

26Oct15: Return to Bangalore early morning at 7.00 AM
