Himalayas- the very word inspires awe & enigma & one lifetime appears short to appreciate the full glory of the mountain.
Our upcoming trip takes us to Manimahesh in Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh – a 13km trek upslope through the narrow paths along steep slopes. Enroute we visit the heritage city of Amritsar, the hill stations of Khajjiar & Dalhousie & the Dev Bhumi of Bharmour in Chamba .
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Manimahesh signifies a jewel (Mani) on Lord Shiva’s (Mahesh’s) crown . Jyoti darshan is the highlight of the place
- Apr-Jul is a good season for trekkers & snow lovers as the region is covered with snow during the time
- The Sojourn is being conducted under the guidance of a spiritual Guru & would be enveloped with meditation & discourses - enhancing the spiritual aspect of the journey
DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: Meet at New Delhi. Transfer to Amritsar. Overnight Stay at Amritsar
DAY 2: Local Sight seeing at Amritsar – Golden Temple, Durgiana Mata Temple, Flag ceremony at Wagah Border. Overnight stay at Amritsar.
DAY 3: Amritsar – Pathankot- Bharmour (305 km by Taxi/ Bus). Overnight stay in hotel at Bharmour
DAY 4: Bharmour –Bharmani – Bharmour (06km trek). Overnight stay in hotel at Bharmour
DAY 5: Bharmour- Hadsar- Dhancho (14km by Taxi/ Bus & 6km Trek). Overnight stay in tent
DAY 6: Dhancho- Gaurikund- Manimahesh Lake (07km Trek). Overnight Stay in Tent.
DAY 7: Planned Spiritual activities at Manimahesh. Overnight Stay in Tent.
DAY 8: Manimahesh- Dhancho- Bharmour (13km trek & 14km by Taxi/Bus)
DAY 9: Bharmour – Chamba- Khajjiar-Dalhousie (105km by Taxi/Bus). Overnight stay at Hotel
DAY 10: Dalhousie local sight seeing. Overnight stay at Hotel
DAY 11: Dalhousie to New Delhi.
TRIP COST: Rs.49500/- per person [ Early Bird Discount of Rs.2500/- per son for booking before 31Mar16]. Advance booking amount of Rs.20000/- per person.
