Who We Are: We are NYC Carpe Diem. A social circle of FUN AND FEARLESS spirits looking to escape from the 9 to 5 grind and the vicissitudes of living life in the concrete jungle and seeking to live an extraordinary life with new friends through leisurely hikes, spontaneous adventures, and the occasional quirky events 😆
Our aim: To build a welcoming group that celebrates connection, joy, and movement through new, exciting and unique adventures with new friends who share your vibrational frequency and who are ready, able and willing to step out of our comfort zones and get out there to have fun, and make memories together and live an extraordinary life with sass, spice, and flare 😊😍
What we are not: Have you ever seen those Meetup groups who do the same hike over and over, week after week? How unoriginal. How boring. Yawn. Well, that’s not us. You won’t find that here.
Our mantras: In this group, we are likely to accomplish great things. Climb that mountain! Book that ticket! Take that weekend trip out of town! Try that new cuisine! Learn a new skill! Volunteer for a worthy cause! Tell your fear to hold your metaphorical beer, because you’re about to jump off that airplane or rappelling down a waterfall!! We will cheer each other on as we bring out your inner badass regardless of others’ opinions. For each and every day, we will aim to live our best life out loud and savor every single moment.
Our events: Hiking, walks in park, day trips, weekend getaways, dining out, Broadway shows, museums, happy hours, movie nights, wine tasting, brewery tours and … for the adrenaline junkies... kayaking, rafting, biking, rock climbing, ice climbing, rappelling down a waterfall, and … wait for it … step off that perfectly good airplane ... wheeeeeee! WE WILL DO IT ALL! CARPE DIEM BABY!!!
Why You Should Join Us: Whether you’re a seasoned adventure pro or a novice beginner, a thrill-seeker at heart, or just looking for opportunities to get out of the house and meet new friends and have a great time, we will have events that will appeal to everyone to enjoy and satisfy your thirst for fun and adventures.
Don’t worry about coming alone. We'll make sure that you feel welcome, you will know everyone’s name and they will know yours. Everyone will have fun and hopefully go home having had a memorable time. As long as you are open to adventures, maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to do new things ... we want to meet you 🤗🤗
Getting there: No cars? No Problem! All our events will be reachable by public transportation – train, bus and Uber - to get us to where we need to get to.
