Draw, walk and make a Berlin Animation together with Maya Yonesho

Daumenreise is an experimental animation project since many years. During FAB, the 48th edition of the Daumenreise films will be created!
In four sessions during four days the workshop participants create a collaborative animation film about Berlin. You choose your favourite spot and motive, your special site or phenomenon about Berlin. Then - like in flipbooks - you draw your personal Daumenreise animation about this spot on small paper cards in the studio. In the workshop team we decide the order and each person draws an animated transformation from the own drawing into the next. Once drawn, we bring the animations back to the city by photographing them on the streets of Berlin using a smartphone. No animation or drawing skills are required to participate in this workshop. We aim to present the film in the end of the festival during the award ceremony.

Venue: silent green Kulturquartier • Gerichtstr. 35 (next to Ringbahn/U6 „Wedding“)
The workshop will be conducted in English and - if necessary - Japanese language.
