Purpose, Principles, Values and Doctrine: creating an operating model
Details
James Duncan is a cynic. By default, he believes that the culture of an organisation is best captured by describing the worst behaviours of its best performers. But is there a better way?
In this session, James will talk about purpose, principles, and values, and how the strategy cycle can bring them together, through mapping and doctrine, to derive new models of operation for organisations.
This will be a short virtual meetup, hosted online.

James is Co-Founder of Stance, and was instrumental in the creation of Wardley Mapping as former CIO of Fotango. He has been close to the heart of many technology transformations over the last 20 years, with involvement in Node.js, Cloud, 3D printing. He has held senior technology positions at the Public Services Network, Joyent, the Home Office, and HSBC.
This is our second session on mapping in the lead-up to October's Map Camp 2020 (which you can find out more about here: https://leadingedgeforum.com/events/map-camp-online/ ).
