The Resilient Body: Breathwork, Sound Healing & Cold Immersion

Details

#### Harness Your Inner Strength with Breath, Sound & Cold Therapy

Join us for a powerful 3-hour workshop designed to optimize your body and mind through the science of intentional stress. The Resilient Body introduces participants to advanced breathwork techniques, immersive sound healing, and a guided cold exposure experience—all rooted in the principle of hormesis, the idea that controlled, beneficial stress can build greater resilience.

#### Breathwork: The Geared Breathing System

You’ll be guided through The Geared Breathing System by Joseph Anderson, which progressively trains your respiratory system through three “gears” of breathwork:

  1. Gear 1: Nasal breathing for diaphragmatic activation
  2. Gear 2: Nasal inhale / mouth exhale for enhanced gas exchange
  3. Gear 3: Full mouth breathing for high-intensity moments

#### Cold Immersion: Strengthen Your Stress Response

The workshop culminates in a guided cold immersion (ice bath) where you’ll apply your breathwork techniques in real-time, learning how to meet intense sensation with calm and presence. This powerful practice has been shown to:

  • Enhance immune function
  • Improve mental clarity and focus
  • Boost recovery and resilience
  • Expand your capacity for stress management

### Sound Healing: Grounding & Integration

This layered approach primes your nervous system for stress resilience and prepares you for the final phase: a sound healing experience led by Sarah of Juniper Sentiments and Joseph Anderson. Using specific frequencies designed to soothe and regulate the body, this session bridges breath and body, supporting your transition into grounding and integration as the final phase.

### Meet Your Facilitators

Joseph Anderson brings a decade of thorough background and experience in breathwork, including certifications in both traditional modalities and the Wim Hof Method. His science-backed, accessible teaching style supports participants in safely unlocking the transformative benefits of breath and cold. Sound Bath support will be offered as well.
