Poetry in the park

Bring a poem that you have enjoyed to share with the group. Listen to poems that others have enjoyed. Rhyming poems, free verse, sonnets, villanelles - all are welcomed.

We will start with an icebreaker or game (Balderdash, Poetry for Neanderthals etc!) to get to know each other. Then take turns reading out our chosen poems and discussing each one informally. No pressure to read out if you don't feel like it.

Theme: To help narrow down your poem choice, this month's theme will be "Love, Romance, Friendships".

What to bring: Please bring a mat or something to sit on! Also feel free to bring drinks, snacks etc.

Location: This event takes place in Walton Gardens in Warrington. We will meet at the Glass House then find a good spot to sit. I will send our location in the group for any late-comers.
