What we’re about
Hello women warriors, welcome to Warriors Rising Up!
Are you a survivor of domestic abuse, childhood trauma or sex trafficking? Are you an adult entertainer who wants out but you aren't sure how to escape? Are you a Christian struggling with a sin problem and want to break free? Do you feel stuck in life or confused about who you really are or what your purpose is? Maybe you're a seasoned Christian and would like to be a mentor? If you answered yes to any of these questions this group may be for you.
I'm a survivor of sex trafficking, childhood abuse, domestic abuse and church hurt. In my youth I ran away from my problems and put a bandaid on my pain by using drugs and alcohol but no matter what I did I could not fill the void I was feeling or take away the anguish that dug into me like a jagged rock. I tried therapy, only to be met by therapists who lacked any real empathy or real life solutions to help me heal. It wasn't until I gave Yahshua (Jesus) my yes in 2018, without religion or stepping inside of church, that I finally started to heal and understand how to break free from the chains that weighed me down and become the warrior that I knew I was.
Perhaps you are where I once was; on a spiritual journey of wanting to know who Yahweh (God) is? Perhaps King Yahshua (Jesus) has been knocking at the door to your heart but because of church hurt, religion or luke-warm Christians throwing stones at you, you are hesitant to take the next step? Perhaps you aren't sure how to approach Yahweh or you're living a lifestyle that you aren't proud of and you feel like you need to change first?
The beautiful thing about being humans is that we all have our own different spiritual paths that we are on and we don't need to be perfect to come to Yahweh. A lot of the time we just need someone who has been in our shoes to be a listening ear, a friend, and a mentor. Someone who will pray for us and not judge us.
This group is for women who are looking to heal from the pains of their past in a holistic way and to be welcomed into a safe environment where they aren't just a number but part of a sisterhood of other survivors and Christian women who genuinely want to help you.
This group is a safe place where you can grow in your relationship with Yahweh (God), and discover who you are as a child of YAH (God). It is a group where we can come together and share testimonies, ask questions and learn who Yahshua (Jesus) is through a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.
When it comes to my beliefs, I believe that we are to be doers of the Word and not just hearers (James 1:22-25). I believe that we were made for community (1 John 1:7) and that we are to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2), and that Yahweh created male and female; nothing in between (Genesis 1:27). I also believe that Yahweh gave us the plants of earth to use as medicine when needed (Genesis 1:29). I also believe in loving one another as Christ loves us no matter what someone's belief, sexual preference or identity is, or what their skin colour is (John 13:34-35).
Loving others unconditionally means we are to extend the same grace and mercy that Yahweh gives us on to others. Sadly, a lot of professing Christians don't do this. Some spew hate towards the LGBTQ community or anyone who doesn't fit their version of Christianity. Genuine followers of Yahshua don't do this.
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
Luke 9:23
In order to see results one must be willing to put in the hard work and be open to change. It won't be easy but it's definitely very rewarding. We'll meet up once a week; whether it be for a home cooked meal, camping in the wilderness, going on an epic hike or other adventures that would be so much fun with a group.
I'm not looking for perfect people, just people who desire to perfect themselves in Christ Jesus and make a change for the better.
