【Test Event】 Elementary Japanese & English Exchange / 日本語と英語の言語交換

-But not knowing where to start ?

Here is an event just right for you…WASBI’s Elementary Japanese & English language exchange !

As usual, we have prepared worksheets to support your learning. One BIG FEATURE is that there are no complicated-looking scary Japanese characters on the Japanese worksheet ! Zero Hiragana and Katakana, let alone Kanji. Good news, isn't it ? We use English alphabets to learn Japanese in this event !

In one word, Duolingo Japanese 101 level.

【FAQ】
1. Do I need to know any Japanese?
→No at all ! Just bring your curiosity. You don't even have to know Hiragana (like あいうえお), yet there will be a lot that you can learn in this event !

2. What is the difference between Saturday Basic Jp-Eng exchange and this Elementary Jp-Eng exchange ?
→In the Japanese hour, this Elementary Jp-Eng exchange is a lot easier. The Japanese worksheet in Saturday Basic Jp-Eng exchange uses Japanese alphabets but there is none in this event.

【Event Flow】
4:30pm-5:30pm：English time
5:30pm-6:30pm：Japanese time

【Location】
A cafe at 999 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 1L3 (Previously known as Flamingo Cafe)

【Time】
January, 13th , from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

*your arrival does not have to be on time, late comers are welcome !

【Participation Fee】
FREE for now
(It’ll be $5/person in the future as it involves the creation of 2 worksheets.)

【IMPORTANT】
- Please order at least 1 item in the cafe to support the venue

-Past worksheets will be used during the English time as it is a free event.
