【Test Event】 Beginner Kansaiben & Beginner Japanese ( 関西弁と初級日本語の言語交換)

-Do you want to unlock the ultimate linguistic tools to make friends with Kansaiben speakers ?

-Interested in Japanese comedy ?

Here is an event just right for you…WASBI’s Beginner Kansaiben & beginner level Japanese language exchange !

We have prepared worksheets to support your learning. Of course, one of them is a worksheet for Kansaiben! It comes with dialogue so you can learn natural Kansaiben through roleplaying !

* This event temporarily replaces Spanish-Japanese exchange because the event host is travelling in Peru until the beginning of the second week of December.

*It used to be Kansaiben & intermediate level Japanese exchange, but we wish more people to enjoy Kansaiben, so we made beginner-friendly this time!

【FAQ】
1. Do I need to know any Kansaiben ?
→No at all ! Just bring your curiosity. In fact, WASABI himself does not know Kansaiben at all but will be present at the event to learn!

【Event Flow】
4:30pm-5:30pm：Standard Japanese time (beginner)
5:30pm-6:30pm：Kansaiben time

【Location】
A cafe at 999 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 1L3 (Previously known as Flamingo Cafe)

【Time】
January, 27st , from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

*your arrival does not have to be on time, late comers are welcome !

【Participation Fee】
FREE for now
(It’ll be $5/person in the future as it involves the creation of 2 worksheets.)

【IMPORTANT】
- Please order at least 1 item in the cafe to support the venue

-Past worksheets will be used during the standard japanese time as it is a free event

Hi, I’m from Wakayama (a Kansaiben spekaking area), and new to Vancouver. I have a Kansai passion so overflowing that it could not fit the size of my suitcase. My dream is that one day Vancouver will have 3 official languages; English, French and Kansaiben, which is why I’m hosting this event. Hopefully you enjoy learning kansaiben !

過去に何度か関西弁の言語交換をしてほしいという声があったのも相まり、今回実験的にWASABIでは関西弁と日本語の言語交換を開催してみることにしました！先週までは日本語中級レベルが必須でしたが、せっかくならより多くの人に関西弁の魅力を知ってほしいということで、日本語初級と関西弁初級の言語交換にしてみました。

-標準語の時間では、無料イベントのため過去のワークシートが再登場します

【よくある質問】
1. 関西出身じゃないけど参加しても大丈夫ですか？
→もちろんです！WASABIの中の人はどちらかというと関東出身ですが、普通にイベントにいる予定です！英語みたいに、外国語として関西弁を学んでみようと思っています！

2.なんとなく参加するのも大丈夫ですか？
→ただ友達を作りたい！という軽いノリでの参加も、もちろん大丈夫です！

【イベントの流れ】
16:30-17:30pm：標準日本語(中級)の時間
17:30-18:30pm：関西弁の時間
