We’re going all out to make something crazy and IMPACTFUL happen that day, so...

WASABI is hosting a special Japanese-English language exchange event on the topic of “Genshin Impact(原神)”, in collaboration with a fan artist (W;steria)!

As always, we prepare worksheets in both languages — but this time, they’re full of Genshin-related vocabulary and expressions.

Whether you're a hardcore fan or just curious, come join us for something a little different.
It’s a great chance to meet new people and connect over a shared interest.

4:00pm-4:45pm：English time with worksheet
4:45pm-5:30pm：Japanese time with worksheet

【FAQ】
1.What is the level of Japanese worksheets ?
It uses the Saturday event format (Jp-Eng BASIC event), so it’s beginner friendly.

2.I’m not learning Japanese. Can I still join?
Yes! If there are enough people, we can arrange an English conversation table as well during the Japanese hour.

3.I’m just a casual Genshin player. Is that okay?
No worries at all! The host (WASABI) is also a casual player. This event is more about connecting with people who share a common interest than going deep into hardcore gameplay discussions.

ということで今年もエイプリルフール特別イベントをおこないます！

今年は、あの大人気ゲーム「原神」をトピックとした日本語-英語の言語交換イベントを原神好きなアーティストさん(W;steriaさん)とコラボして行います。

いつも通り、ワークシートはありますが、今回のトピックは原神です。

学校じゃ学べない、特別な単語や表現を学びながら友達作りもしましょう。

大丈夫です！主催のWASABI自身もライトプレイヤーにちょっと毛が生えた程度です。ガチオタクトークをするというよりも、同じゲームに興味を持つ人が集まって、普段だったら作れない友達を作ろうというのが趣旨ですので、お気軽にご参加ください！

Hi, I’m WASABI. I started playing Genshin Impact in the autumn of 2021. Although I had a break from the game 2023-2025, I still kept listening to its music the whole time.
My top 3 favorite characters are: 1.Signora /2.Hu Tao/ 3.Kamisato Ayato

I used to mainly play with a Zhongli / Ayato / Hu Tao / Yelan team, but recently I’ve been enjoying more relaxed team compositions (with Inefa&Columbina)
People are often surprised when they find out I play Genshin, since I don’t look like a gamer at all 😄
I’m still dreaming of the day when Signora becomes a playable character !

▶W;steria (a fan artist)
Hi, I’m W;steria. I don’t really play video games in general but I am an avid fan of Genshin Impact. One aspect of the game I like a lot is the visuals—the scenery, architecture, and character designs in the Genshin world are beautiful! As such, I love drawing Genshin fanart.
I have too many favourite characters, but 3 of them are 1.Xiangling /2.Xiao/3.Ayaka.

I love using the starter characters to play, so I put Lumine, Kaeya, Amber, Lisa, Xiangling, and Noelle in my teams a lot. A team combo I use is Lumine / Kaeya / Xiangling / and Zhongli.
I often rotate the characters in my team though (everyone gets to shine). There are times when I just let them idle in a scenic spot and have the music play in the background. I enjoy watching the clouds drift over and the sun set and rise in the Genshin world. It’s so calming…
By the way, I drew the little ばかわいい(bakawaii) Paimon in the banner of this event. 😊 Hope you found it a little funny. Feel free to check my Instagram page out—I post updates on when I table and join art events. My next one is Pop-up Hanami at UBC on April 4th~

原神は2021年の秋に遊び始めました。空白期間は2年弱ありましたが、その間も原神の音楽はずっと聞いていました。普段、ゲームを遊んでいそうな印象が無いので、原神を遊んでいると言うと驚かれます 笑
好きなキャラクターTOP３は １．シニョーラ、２．胡桃、３．神里綾人。以前は鍾離/綾人/胡桃/夜蘭のパーティーを中心に遊んでいましたが、最近はイネコロ編成で楽をしています。ずっとシニョーラがプライアブルキャラとして実装される未来を夢見ています！

W;steria
こんにちはW;steriaです！ゲームは基本しませんが、原神は特別です。ゲームの風景・建築・キャラデザなどのビジュアルが素敵なので大ファンです！景色のいい場所でキャラクターを放置して、音楽を流すだけのときもあります。ということで、原神のファンアートもたくさん描いています。
好きなキャラを選ぶのは本当に難しいですが、強いて３つ言うなら1.ホタル / 2.魈 /3.神里綾華 です！

初期キャラを使ってプレイするのが好きなので、ホタル/ガイア/アンバー/リサ/香菱/ノエル辺りをよく使います。よく使う編成のひとつは、ルミネ/ガイア/香菱/鍾離です！

ちなみに、このイベントのバナーにある「ばかわいい」パイモンは私が描きました😊
