Join us for a relaxing afternoon of fishing, chatting, and making new friends at Lafarge Lake!

Whether you're an experienced angler or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome!

Come meet fellow fishing lovers, share tips, enjoy the outdoors, and hopefully catch some fish together! 🐟😊

🎣 Never Tried Fishing Before?
No worries! Beginners are more than welcome!
Our two organizers will bring their fishing gear to share, and they'll be happy to teach you the basics of fishing!

You don't need any experience to join. Just bring your curiosity and a friendly attitude!

If you have your own fishing gear, please bring it along!

This isn't a formal fishing lesson. It's a casual meetup where we can enjoy fishing and make new friends together!

🐟 What If You Catch a Fish?
You can either take your catch home or release it back into the lake, as long as you follow local fishing regulations!
If you'd like to take your fish home, please bring a Ziploc bag or another suitable bag to carry your catch.

Please note that a valid BC freshwater fishing licence is required for participants aged 16 and older, even if you plan to catch and release.
We recommend purchasing a 1-day fishing licence ($22.86) if you're only joining us for the day!

🎒 What to Bring
☑️ A valid fishing licence (required for ages 16+)
☑️ Your own fishing gear, if you have any
☑️ A towel
☑️ Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
☑️ A Ziploc bag or another suitable bag (if you want to take fish home)
☑️ An extra layer of clothing (it might get chilly!)
☑️ Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
☑️ Your enthusiasm and a friendly attitude! 😊

⚠️ Important Notes
☑️ A fishing licence is required for participants aged 16 and older. Please purchase yours before the event.
☑️ This event will be cancelled if it rains. If we need to cancel, we will notify all participants by 9:00 AM on the day of the event.
☑️ Fishing gear will be shared, so participants may need to take turns.
☑️ Please bring a towel and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
☑️ If you plan to take fish home, please bring your own bag, such as a Ziploc bag.
☑️ Please follow all local fishing regulations, including catch limits and fish-handling rules.
☑️ Please dress warmly and be prepared for changing weather conditions.
☑️ Please keep your valuables with you. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
☑️ Photos and videos may be taken during the event for social media. Thank you for your understanding.

釣り好きの仲間と出会ったり、釣りのコツを教え合ったり、自然の中でのんびりおしゃべりしたり楽しいひと時を過ごしましょう。🐟😊

🎣 釣りをしたことがない方も大歓迎！
釣りの経験がまったくなくても大丈夫。

主催者2人が釣り道具を持ってくるので、道具をシェアしながら楽しみましょう。

釣り方が分からない方には、主催者が基本から教えます。

自分の釣り道具を持っている方は、ぜひお持ちください。

このイベントは本格的な釣り教室ではなく、釣りを通じて友達を作るカジュアルな交流会です

初めての方も、おひとりでも、お気軽にご参加ください！😊

🐟 魚が釣れたら？
釣った魚は、BC州の釣りルールに従って持ち帰っても、湖にリリースしてもOKです

魚を持ち帰りたい方は、ジップロックなど持ち帰り用の袋をお持ちください！

ただし、16歳以上の方は、釣りをするためにBC州の淡水釣りライセンスが必要です。

魚を持ち帰らず、リリースする場合もライセンスが必要です。

今回だけ参加する方には、1日ライセンス（1-Day Fishing Licence）がおすすめ！
