Waterfall Wednesday Doughnut Falls

Be prepared for very cold water and a gorgeous 1.65 mile hike up to the waterfall with an elevation gain of about 500 ft. You will not be allowed to participate if you do not show up prepared with a wetsuit or dry suit, helmet, gloves and the proper canyoneering gear listed below. Flow is high and the rock will be very slippery. Can’t wait to see you all there.

What to bring:
-WETSUIT
• Harness- (Canyoneering style preferred as it has a horizontal tie-in as opposed to a regular climbing harness)
• Helmet
• Rappel Device (Totem, HooDoo, CRITR2, SQWUREL) or similar device preferred. (No ATCs or similar tube-type device or Figure 8s.)
• 3-4 Locking Screw-Gate Carabiners (HMS, pear-shape preferred)
• Ascending/self-rescue gear.
• Water, food and snacks for the day
• REQUIRED- A personal anchor system, safety tether, ect.
• Dress appropriately for anticipated weather (long sleeve shirt/pants, waterproof shoes, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, windbreaker/jacket, and whatever else you may need to stay comfortable for each day. Wetsuit required.
• No +1 RSVPs. If you know someone who would like to attend, please have them join the meetup group and sign up using their own account.
• Restrooms will be available.
