Learn to Dance Modern Jive - Easy and Smooth Moves

Anyone can learn our easy and smooth dance moves in no time 💃🕺 including tips, tricks, spins and dips... all the skills you need to become a confident and adaptable social dancer.
Come and dance the night away with great music and friendly people. No partner necessary, beginners welcome!

We meet every Wednesday, and each class we'll teach you something new, with our doors opening at 7:00pm before the class starts at 7:15pm. This beginner-friendly class focuses on basic lead and follow techniques, moving to the beat, and how to mix and match some simple dance moves: all the skills you need to join in and have fun on the dance floor. No need to bring a partner, you'll have a chance to dance with lots of people throughout the night.

After our first class, we break to some social dancing at around 7:45pm for 30 minutes or so. Then an extension class at 8:15pm where we build on the skills you've learnt in the first class. This short class is finished with more social dancing until we finish at 9:30pm.

Location: Shenton Park Community Centre, 240 Onslow Road, Shenton Park.

Schedule:
7:00pm: Doors open.
7:15pm: 30-minute beginner-friendly dance class
7:45pm: Social Dancing
8:15pm: Extension class
8:45pm: Social Dancing
9:30pm: Finish

Entry: $20 per person for the whole night, or $16 with a WASDA Active Pass. Cash or electronic payment accepted at the door.

Monthly Dance Parties
