Sunday Skate - Arlington to Alexandria & Dairy Godmother (Intermediate/Advanced)

We’ll head from Freedom Plaza at 10:15AM to the Lincoln Memorial across the Potomac River via Memorial Bridge to the Mt. Vernon Trail. We'll follow the trail past Gravely Point (stop to see the planes take off) to Crystal City (or soon to be called National Landing, thanks Bezos!) We will then take the Potomac Yard Trail down to Old Town Alexandria. We will then head over to Mt. Vernon Avenue through Del Rey and stop at Dairy Godmother (there's also burgers, bbq and donuts). We'll then continue back through Crystal City and to the 14th Street Bridge, going back by the Lincoln Memorial and over to Freedom Plaza for a total of 18 miles.
