Friday Night Fitness Skate

The Friday Night Social Skate
Start your weekend with a fun, social skate! Join us for our weekly 12 or 8-mile cruise through the heart of D.C. As a special treat this week, Asher Lee will be leading!
We skate the same route every week, so you can relax, chat, and enjoy the ride without worrying about navigation. The route is perfect for a social roll, with nice long stretches of smooth pavement, open roads with very few cars, and short, casual regroups.
Our Scenic Route:
We meet at Freedom Plaza at 7 PM (as long as the pavement is dry!). We'll warm up with a spin to the Capitol, then cruise the National Mall past the glowing museums and the Washington Monument. We’ll roll through the WWII Memorial on our way to the Lincoln Memorial for a great night view.
Choose Your Pace at Hains Point:
From the Lincoln, we glide down to Hains Point, where you've got options:
- The 12-Mile Cruise: Feel like keeping the roll going? Join the group for the breezy 3-mile loop around Hains Point, right along the water.
 - The 8.5-Mile Social: Prefer to hang back? Chill at the regroup spot to chat, practice a few skills, or just enjoy the evening air while the others do the loop.

Good to Know:
- The route is mostly flat on good pavement, with just a couple of small, easy slopes.
 - It can be cool and breezy by the water, so an extra layer is a good idea.
 - Safety: This is a night skate, so it's quite dark in places. For your safety, if you have a helmet light, use it so you can see the pavement. Some body lights are great so you can be seen by others.
