## 🛼 Sunday Morning Inline Road Skate: The 37th Street Drop
Join the Washington Area Roadskaters for our weekly Sunday morning skate! This week, Chris (WearyWayfinder) leads us and we’re heading out on a ~12-mile loop that features the "37th Street Drop," taking us through the West End, Glover Park, Georgetown, and across the National Mall.
### 📍 IMPORTANT: Meetup Location Update
Freedom Plaza is currently closed for renovation. We will meet at Pershing Park (at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave and 14th St NW). Look for the group near the benches!

### ⏰ Schedule
- 10:00 AM: Meet & Greet
- 10:10 AM: Wheels down / Roll out

### 🗺️ The Route
- Distance: Approx. 12.08 miles
- Terrain: 100% paved city streets (Inline Road Skating)
- Highlights: A steady climb up through Glover Park, the 37th Street descent into Georgetown, and a scenic finish passing the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol.

### ✅ Requirements & Safety
- Skill Level: This is a road skate on active city streets. Skaters should be comfortable with hills, navigational transitions, and maintaining a steady group pace.
- Safety Gear: Helmets and full protective gear are highly recommended.
- Support: We will have a lead and a sweep to help manage the group and ensure no one is left behind.

### 🎒 What to Bring
- Plenty of water and a light snack.
- A spare axle/tool and a way to carry your shoes if needed.
- Positive vibes for a great morning on the pavement!
