Details
Roll up your sleeves and get ready for some hands-on conservation work that makes a substantial difference in our urban ecosystem.
Calling all WBA helpers to support building wood chip berms at King Fisher Basin. Or if you prefer, there are still plenty of Himalayan Blackberry bushes to be whacked down! So, come join us for round two of our efforts to restore the Butterfly Garden at Magnuson Park! WBA Volunteers receive a WBA hat as a token of appreciation for their contributions. This is a collaboration with the Magnuson Environmental Stewardship Alliance and Green Seattle Partnership.
Join our butterfly garden work party and help rebuild a welcoming habitat for butterflies, pollinators and the people that enjoy seeing them.
August 2, 2025, starting at 10:00AM stay as long as you like or until our MESA Stewards call it quits.
The project's goal is to recruit volunteers to restore and maintain the Butterfly Garden at Promontory Point Pavilion and the meadow in Kingfisher Basin. This will be the 2nd of many work parties, and we welcome all who are interested in participating in making this special spot an urban oasis for many years and generations to come. So, grab your garden gloves, clippers, a shovel, or any other favorite garden tool, and meet us at the Pavilion.
