The Magnuson Park Butterfly Garden Habitat Restoration - Seattle, WA
Saturday March 21st from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Since August of 2025 WBA members and friends have met monthly to remove invasive blackberries, build wood chip berms, and plant native nectar and host plants at the Magnuson Park Pavillion and Kingfisher meadow. Come and join us for a hands-on volunteer conservation project and help make a substantial difference in our urban ecosystem!
What to bring
Dress for the day's weather and wear long pants, long sleeved top, and closed toe shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Wear layers if it is chilly and if it is rainy bring rain gear. Bring a full water bottle and snacks.
What to expect
Work includes removing invasive plants like ivy and blackberries, distributing wood chip mulch or planting native plants.
