Women's Equality Day Rally

Details
August 26th was designated “Women’s Equality Day” by the U.S. Congress in 1973 to commemorate the certification of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. This civil rights movement took over 70 years of activism, beginning in 1848 at the world’s first women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York.
As the DJT administration continues to violate and ignore basic constitutional rights of women, proposed legislation such as the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act and Life At Conception Act threaten voting rights and access to safe, medically necessary abortions for all who can become pregnant. It is imperative for those of us who identify as women or experience womanhood to support equitable legislation, women-inclusive community organizations, and each other.
Our host for this event is our wonderful Direct Action Workgroup! Featuring a guest speaker from ACLU OR & Equal Rights for All Campaign Team! Plus information tables with local women centric organizations who need volunteers like you.
Join us on August 26th at 6pm to rally for Women's Equality Day!
