How Women can Sharpen, Trust, and Elevate their Critical Thinking
Details
Join us in Washington, DC for a lively and thought-provoking evening exploring how women can sharpen, trust, and elevate their critical thinking in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. This interactive meetup is designed for women of all ages and backgrounds who are curious about how to navigate AI-powered systems, question dominant narratives, and stay rooted in intuition, logic, and discernment.
We’ll discuss:
- What it means to “think critically” as a woman in the digital age
- How AI systems reflect (and sometimes distort) societal values
- Strategies to stay grounded, curious, and empowered amid algorithmic overload
- Real-world examples of bias in AI and how critical thinking can expose hidden patterns
- How to blend analytical reasoning with emotional intelligence and lived experience
Expect engaging conversation, small group exercises, and a welcoming space to share ideas and ask bold questions. Whether you're in tech, education, policy, healthcare, or simply passionate about thoughtful dialogue, this meetup is for you. Learn more about your speaker here - artconroy.com
UPDATE
I am a little behind on updates here, but the actual location is the Digital Harbor Lab located in the 1775 Greensboro Drive Building (first floor back towards the Starbucks (go around to the left if you come in the main lobby) - to the glass doors at the end of the hallway - past the elevators. This is our first get together and since I have access to the space - why not. This will kick off with a discussion of the Johari Window - actually created in a summer workshop in 1955 by two brilliant academics in LA - go figure. It is an excellent lens into the difference between how CT differences between the genders. This is a seminal work watered down by academics who left it to languish for decades (even though Rumsfeld is oft quoted in reference to this meme).
