Meetup #34: Crazy Rich Invasions

For some reason, this month I want to see crazy billionaires getting their comeuppance. Doesn't that seem really satisfying right now? So for our next Meetup, we'll choose from stories featuring the Doctor taking down rich nutjobs ruining the planet through their own selfishness...

The Invasion - The 2nd Doctor, Jamie, Zoe, and newly-formed UNIT take on Tobias Vaughn, an electronics mogul trying to take over the world with his Cyber Truck. Sorry, I mean, men. Cybermen.

Dalek/Revolution of the Daleks - The 9th Doctor and Rose pit their wits against Henry van Statten whose collection of alien artifacts includes a single Dalek (as in, just one Dalek - I don't know its marital status). The 13th Doctor and Fam (and Captain Jack!) then battle a very Trumpy Jack Robertson as he tries to sell Daleks to the British government.

Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel - The 10th Doctor, Rose, and Mickey meet the whack-a-doo (that is the medical term, I believe) billionaire John Lumic as he builds his own alternate universe Cybermen.

Spyfall Parts 1 and 2 - The 13th Doctor and the Fam (with a little help from Stephen Fry) take on mega-rich Daniel Barton and his mysterious alien allies.

When you RSVP, please rank the four options above in the comments in the order of preference (1 being "Yes! I am dying to see it!" and 4 being "Meh."), and we will abide by the choice of the attendees.

For the Meetup itself, we ask everyone to bring something to drink and something to eat (snacks/munchies - you don't need to bring a whole ham or something!) to share with the group. We'll have food and drink as well and maybe a themed cocktail if the inspiration strikes...

We are a couple blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro (15th and Harvard NW). We'll provide the full address ahead of the event. We ask that everyone be VACCINATED and that if you are feeling sick you please stay home. (Note also that we have a cat and we are a walk-up - two flights of stairs.)
