Meetup #35: Ncuti the Moon!

Doctor Who is back for Season I Don't Really Know Anymore, and the first episode drops on the 12th! The trailer is nothing short of spectacular (and just the licensing rights for Phil Collins probably cost more than an entire season of the classic series), so we have high hopes for an exciting romp with the 15th Doctor and Belinda (and Ruby and Mel)! But, in the interest of staying true to our democratic nature, I suppose people could vote:

The Robot Revolution/Boom - The 15th Doctor and Belinda set off on new adventures together. And then we'll go back and catch the first appearance of actress Varada Sethu - what will be the link between the two characters?

Wakati-Ndege - The 5th Doctor story Time-Flight dubbed in Swahili.

Hamlet starring Matthew Waterhouse - Adric gives his Hamlet in a performance that Time Out described thusly: "He makes his entrances and exits in the guise of Robo-Ham, a high precision theatrical instrument that stalks around the stage in a perfect straight line without even the tiniest hint of expression."

20 minutes of The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes before we realize we clicked on the wrong thing in the Disney app - A young Kurt Russell captivates us for a brief period before we remember we should be watching the new Who.

When you RSVP, please rank the four options above in the comments in the order of preference (1 being "Yes! I am dying to see it!" and 4 being "Meh."), and we will abide by the choice of the attendees.

For the Meetup itself, we ask everyone to bring something to drink and something to eat (snacks/munchies - you don't need to bring a whole ham or something!) to share with the group. We'll have food and drink as well and maybe a themed cocktail if the inspiration strikes...

We are a couple blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro (15th and Harvard NW). We'll provide the full address ahead of the event. We ask that everyone be VACCINATED and that if you are feeling sick you please stay home. (Note also that we are a walk-up - two flights of stairs.)
