Meetup #39: Who's Who? Two!

NOTE: Meetup is SUNDAY this month (and technically in November...)

It's a busy travel month, so we are just missing getting an October date and November will have to do - but hopefully you will still be in the Halloween spirit as we'll once again celebrate all those times the Doctor or their enemies indulged in the elaborate art of disguise! So, adopt your secret identity and rank these four stories:

The Time Meddler - The First Doctor, Vicki, and Steven arrive in medieval England and tangle with some Vikings as well as meet another of the Doctor's people for the first time in the series - here disguised as a monk of the meddling kind.

The Power of the Daleks - The 1st Doctor "disguises" himself as the Second Doctor (OK, so it's a regeneration) who then himself adopts the guise of an inspector from Earth as he helps the people of Vulcan (no relation) deal with the Daleks. But there's only three Daleks - so totally manageable, right?

Castrovalva - The newly regenerated 5th Doctor, Nyssa, Adric, and Tegan pit their wits against the Master, who adopts one of their infamous disguises but which is actually quite convincing for a change!

Aliens of London/World War III - The 9th Doctor and Rose discover that aliens have infiltrated the UK government using surprisingly life-like rubber human suits in a two-parter that, at the time, made a lot of us go, "Uh oh" about the series revival but has grown on me...

When you RSVP, please rank the four options above in the comments in the order of preference (1 being "Yes! I am dying to see it!" and 4 being "Meh."), and we will abide by the choice of the attendees.

For the Meetup itself, we ask everyone to bring something to drink and something to eat (snacks/munchies - you don't need to bring a whole ham or something!) to share with the group. We'll have food and drink as well and maybe a themed cocktail if the inspiration strikes...

We are a couple blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro (15th and Harvard NW). We'll provide the full address ahead of the event. Note also that we are a walk-up - two flights of stairs.
