Around the World Embassy Tour

Details
On the 1st May, more than 30 embassies in Washington DC will be open to the public. This is a chance to sample the food, listen to the music and experience the culture from places around the world, without needing a plane ticket.
As there is a separate European Embassy open day, most of the embassies open on this date are from countries outside of Europe. Countries participating include Australia, the Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Botswana, Brazil, Cape Verde, Colombia, Croatia, The Dominican Republic, East Timor, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uganda, Ukraine and Zambia.
As most of the embassies are around "Embassy Row" on Massachusetts Ave, and Georgetown, we'll meet at DuPont Circle Metro station. Go to the top of the escalator at the SOUTH exit from the station, and we'll meet in the undercover area in front of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
Items to bring:
- A camera
- Comfortable shoes for walking
- Hat and sunscreen
- An umbrella if it looks like it might rain.
Several other Meetup groups will also be participating in this event. Please only sign up with one group.
