Native Plant Field Trip: Naches Loop Trail

Details

To sign up, contact Geoff Berg at geoffberg@yahoo.com
A 3.2 mile round trip with easy elevation gain (600 feet) at the peak of alpine wildflower season. We should see both magenta and scarlet paintbrushes, as well as three different species of penstemons. See the attached WNPS plant list for a list of recorded plants.

We will start at the Tipsoo Lake Parking lot, and hike along the Pacific Crest Trail on the northern flank of Naches Peak, and depending on the weather, possible views of both Mount Rainer and Mount Adams.

🦟 Note: Mosquitoes can be fierce at this time of year, so bring protection from them and the sun. Lunch and water are also recommended.

Meet at the Green Lake Park and Ride at 7:30 am (6601-8th Ave NE), or the Tipsoo Lake parking lot at 9:30 am.
