TRAIL CHANGED !! - Rampart Lakes

Details
Hi Everyone, it’s just too hot! There’s an excessive heat warning in place and North Bend is expected to hit 95 F. I am changing this hike to a trail with lots of lakes and plenty of chances to cool off! I don’t want anyone getting heat stroke!
Distance: 6 miles
Elevation Gain: 3,000 ft.
Difficulty: A little hard
Just past Snoqualmie Pass is a beautiful ridge with steep cliffs and a variety of alpine lakes. From an old dirt road, we will ascend a short but steep trail up to Lake Lillian, before pushing further up to the beauty of the Rampart Lakes. We can linger around the lakes to enjoy the cool water and even climb to the top of the nearby ridge for some mountain views!
Hiking poles are recommended. Also bring plenty of food and water (3L), and sun protection. Bring a swimsuit if you want to jump in.
Download this GPS map for alltrails. Note that I do not intend for this trip to go all the way to Alta Mountain. The top of Rampart Ridge (marked Point 5870) is a good summit and close to the lakes.

The road to the trailhead is a little rough, so we will try to use SUVs. Riders should give $15 to their drivers for gas. Bring a plastic bag to place your boots in after the hike. A Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required to park at the trailhead.
Important: I am not a guide and this is not a guided trip. You and yourself alone are responsible for your own safety. Please know your abilities before signing up.
