# Skyline Lake Snowshoe / Winter Hike (Stevens Pass)
Let’s get out into the snow and hike / snowshoe Skyline Lake, a short but steep winter trail near Stevens Pass with beautiful forest scenery and a snowy alpine lake at the top.
This is a moderate winter hike and is best suited for people who are comfortable hiking uphill in snow and winter conditions.

Trail is typically snow-covered in winter. Snowshoes or microspikes are recommended depending on conditions.
## Meetup Details
- Meet time: 8:45 AM
- Meet location: Bothell Home Depot – southern tip of the parking lot
We’ll coordinate carpools if needed and aim to leave shortly after meeting.
It should be a 1 hr 45 mts drive from here to the trail head. Plan to reach the trail head by 10:45 am.
## Parking
- There is a fee to park at the Skyline Lake trailhead
- A Northwest Forest Pass can be used
- Please ensure your pass is displayed properly

## After the Hike
Lunch spot TBD based on interest.
People are welcome to form their own groups or head out independently after the hike.
## Carpool Etiquette
If you are carpooling:
- Please respect the driver and their vehicle
- Contribute for gas as a courtesy
- Make sure to leave the car clean
- Coordinate payment or gas contribution when you enter the car
## What to Bring
- Snowshoes and/or microspikes
- Waterproof hiking boots
- Hiking poles (recommended)
- Warm layered clothing
- Waterproof jacket
- Hat and gloves
- Sunglasses and sunscreen
- Water and snacks
- Extra socks or change of clothes
- Headlamp (always a good idea in winter)
