Come out and hike to Granite Lakes!

Distance: 8 miles
Elevation Gain: 2,400 ft.
Difficulty: Moderate

The weather might not be so nice this weekend, so let’s trade the high peaks for a sheltered valley and a pretty lake. Tucked behind several classic North Bend hikes is Granite Lake. We will hike up through beautiful forest and along Granite creek for several miles, enjoying the snowy winter scenery. At the end, we can take in views of the frozen lake, drink a warm beverage, and then head back.

Microspikes are required for this trip. The lower parts of the trail can be muddy, so make sure you have decent boots. Dress warm and are ready for windy, rainy, or snowy weather.

Riders should give $10 to their drivers for gas. Bring a plastic bag to place your boots in after the hike. A Discover Pass is required to park at the trailhead. The road is paved and suitable for all cars.
