Snowshoes required! Microspikes are optional. The route should be 100% snow-covered. Bring plenty of food and water, and multiple layers of clothing so you are prepared for cold, wet, windy, or snowy weather. While the trail is easy, walking in fresh snow can be very tiring! Plan for approximately 2-3 hours on the trail.

Riders should give their drivers $30 for gas and $20 for ferry fees. Bring a plastic bag to place your boots in after the hike. A National Park Pass, aka "America the Beautiful Pass", is required for drivers.
