Bandera Mountain (Hard)
Details
Come out for a trip to Bandera Mountain!
Bandera Mountain
Distance: 9 miles
Elevation Gain: 3,800 ft.
Difficulty: Hard
Located just an hour away, Bandera Mountain is a classic I-90 hike. A well made trail follows the south side of the mountain, offering a gradual pace and frequent gorgeous views of the Snoqualmie Valley. Higher up, the path turns steeper, rockier, and is likely to have snow as we ascend toward the top. If we’re lucky, the summit has commanding views of the entire valley, including snowy lakes and a variety of beautiful peaks.
Microspikes Required! Come dressed for windy, rainy, or snowy weather. Also bring plenty of food, water, and maybe sunscreen.
The main road to the Ira Spring trailhead is closed, so we will be starting from the Tinkham Road trail, just near exit 42 on I-90. This adds a bit of extra distance and about 600 ft of elevation.
